no. 429 – Just The Beginning

I just ordered four (4) tons of river rock to be delivered to our house. My husband thought that would be a good start.

. . . . TONS . . . .

. . . . GOOD START . . . .

There are also 20 trees sitting behind our house waiting for me to dig holes.

Anyone need a summer job? It doesn’t pay for shit, but I promise the beer is always cold and I make mean margaritas.

  1. Ooh, ooh! Me me me! I’ve got nothing to do this summer (except play with P) and margaritas are this girl’s best friend. Of course, there is the whole getting to Nebraska thing to consider, and we’d miss J quite a bit, but eh. We’ll worry about those later.

  2. We need a bunch of river rock too. Nowhere NEAR 4 tons, thank god. But I DO NOT envy whichever one of you will be moving those rocks to their final location!

  3. Oh my gosh. That’s alot of rock!

  4. I guess you can cancel your gym membership! Holy Crap that is going to be one hell of a workout!

  5. Margaritas? Sounds like a plan! I’m not THAT far from you am I?

  6. I can’t even fathom what 4 tons even is. I’m interested to know how much more you might need. Shit.

  7. Ouch, river rock. Been there, done that, got the broken back to prove it.

I’ll take the beer and margaritas!

  8. Hey,
I will help you. I just dug out the dirt, put in the sand and laid the pavers for a patio at my house yesterday, so get me while the muscles are already numb. 😉
I like beer, especially when it is cold. Duh! I AM from Wisconsin. With a margarita chaser, oh boy, let the party begin.

  9. Does that mean that I get to run away to your house for the summer?

    I am so there.

  10. Is it weird that I get a little jealous when I hear about someone that has a massive yard-project? It totally sounds fun to me. I have done as much as I can in my postage-stamp-sized yard, and I am SO ready for a summer project.. I’d even bring my own beer if I could. Hell, I’d bring beer for YOU just for letting me do something fun… lol…

Go ahead, make me more jealous – are you planting cool flowers to go with the trees, too?

  11. We have a bunch of white rocks that we don’t want. I prefer foliage as ground cover and hope to have flower beds someday that are lush and bountiful. We shall see.

Too bad you are so far away. I would give you all of my rocks.

  12. I’ll be in Nebraska in July. Will your trees wait until then? How about the beer? LOL!

  13. again I am finding myself siding with the lessor 1/2. 4 tons is a good start

  14. Wanna come move into my apartment? No rocks anywhere in sight!

  15. That is a lot of river rock. I hope that your husband has fun while you fan yourself in the shade.

  16. Wow. Rock ON!! sorry. lame.

Joe was just complaining about raking out a mere 2 tons of pea gravel. What a girl.
